Another week has flown by. Kids started back to school, except for Taiza, who starts kindergarten this week. Ammon has already lost his lunch box. With his name on it. Geez. What does he do with his stuff?! Katie has found new friends, plus kept the old, cause one is silver, the other one gold. Seriously, she had a seamless transition into jr high and this from someone who HATES change. But, she is emerging as a leader, doing well and proud of herself. Rightly so.
I went shopping with just Taiza and the baby on Friday. Big mistake. I had forgotten how hard it is to shop with a screaming baby and no big helpers....Taiza was a gem, as always. My arms still ache from holding the baby though and she really didn't stop until she was back in her car seat in the car....
I have totally neglected my blog this week...phooey. Hopefully tomorrow will be the great day of catch-up.
Oh, I gave up Mt. Dew for the most part 4 weeks ago. I have had 4 since then......mostly off of it....but, oh, how I miss it. (Which of course tells me it's an addiction. Dang it.)
We finally did some much-needed weeding on Saturday. We neglected it for so long and our yard is so big that we didn't even come close to getting. More fun after-school activities for the kids to look forward to.....but, we are harvesting zucchini and patty pan squash by the dozens!! Tomatoes are just starting to ripen, so there are enough to cook with, for sure.
Today, we went to the Oquirrh Mt temple dedication service. It was great. Very spiritual and very quiet. Very nice.
Looking forward to a very busy week. My race for legislative district chair concludes this week. Wish me luck!

Ah, you mean even SuperHolly doesn't like shopping with little kids? Yes! I feel so vindicated. Great to see you yesterday. :)
I really enjoyed this, thanks!
I am a public speaking trainer in DC and actually just posted about how starfish can actually teach us to be better speakers.
I wish you the best of luck in your race.
